This mix from a few months back shows a more abstract side of my collection for a change: it’s a nice trip through the realms of ambient and IDM, ranging from Banco de Gaia to Slag Boom Van Loon, from Fluxion to Locust and from Mind Over Midi to Quick & Brite with a lot of Warp records and other nice electronica in between.
Check out the Evil Acid Baron Show which I found somewhere on the net.
Funny to see how the video codec had some trouble encoding. Guess the images are a bit to freaky for it.
A timewarp straight from 1988. Nice wheather, exotic atmospehere, happy hour and ACID! A tape donated by Robert James (the guy from the Acid Scooter), gives you some idea of the Acid state of affairs in Tenerife 1988. It was recorded on 29-7-1988 in the Benoit Bar. Thanks Robert!
I edited the tape somewhat so the hip-hop and top 40 music is no longer there. Note that the MC somewhere says that soon they will play normal music again! Great
In celebration of the 15 years of XL Recordings a couple of older 12-inches have been re-released. You can read more about it on this special anniversary website.

An interesting article today in the paper about early experiments in Philips Natlab with electronic music. Pieces from the first Dutch electronic music composers Dick Raaijmakers, Henk Badings, and Tom Dissevelt from the period 1956 - 1963 are now compiled in a CD box with some texts about how things were made etc.

After three frustrated funk releases in straight up electro style this one brings us three booty electro tracks produced by D.I.E. for a change. Excellent dancefloor material, but also great for home listening as the tracks all got more melodic elements than the typical booty record.
